LIODetect® CRP is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of C-reactive protein (CRP) in human whole blood, serum, or plasma. CRP is an acute-phase protein that increases in response to inflammation or infection.
The test provides results within 10-15 minutes and is manufactured and quality-controlled in Germany under ISO 13485 standards.
Assay Principle
The test uses lateral flow immunochromatography: CRP in the sample binds to anti-CRP antibodies on the test strip, producing a visible line if present. A control line confirms correct test performance.
Intended Use
The assay is intended for professional in vitro diagnostic use in point-of-care testing (POCT) and laboratory settings to aid in the detection and monitoring of inflammatory conditions. Results must be interpreted in conjunction with clinical evaluation and other laboratory tests.
