LIODetect® D-Dimer is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for rapid qualitative detection of D-Dimer in human plasma or whole blood. Elevated D-Dimer levels are associated with fibrin degradation and can support the assessment of thromboembolic conditions.
The test delivers results within 10-15 minutes and is manufactured and quality-controlled in Germany under ISO 13485 standards.
Assay Principle
The test uses lateral flow immunochromatography: D-Dimer in the sample binds to immobilized antibodies on the test strip. Migration along the membrane generates visible lines indicating D-Dimer presence, while a control line confirms proper test performance.
Intended Use
LIODetect® D-Dimer is intended for professional in vitro diagnostic use in point-of-care testing (POCT) and laboratory settings to aid in the evaluation of thromboembolic risk. Results should be interpreted alongside clinical examination, patient history, and other diagnostic tests.
